    To fix my uncle's watch, they quoted $325 (mind the MSRP on the watch was $600) and said the reason it was so expensive was that my watch had Swiss mechanisms and precious jewels that had to be carefully handled to fix the watch... in reality the battery just needed a protected cover and stem needed to be replaced, which cost me $60 at another watch repair shop. Needless to say, it works fine now.
